An eventful day in the Bernese Oberland: we hike through the impressive Aare Gorge and enjoy a delicious lunch right by Lake Brienz.
Itinerary
We set off in the morning and drive via Lucerne, along Lake Sarnen and over the Brünig Pass to Innertkirchen. There we immerse ourselves in the fascinating world of the Aare Gorge and take a leisurely walk from the east entrance towards the west, accompanied by the roaring water. At the exit of the gorge, there is time for a relaxing coffee break. We then continue on to Lake Brienz, where a dreamlike backdrop awaits us. Right by the lake, we enjoy time together, fresh sea air, and beautiful views. After lunch, we continue our journey along Lake Brienz via Interlaken, past the picturesque Beatenbucht, and on along Lake Thun to Bern. There we stop for a drink at the Bear Pit before making our way home at a leisurely pace.
