Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Bregenz & Bregenz Festival

We will travel together to Bregenz and check into our rooms at the cosy Hotel Lamm. After arrival, we will have time to settle in at our leisure and explore the surroundings as we please – perhaps a walk along Lake Constance or a first glimpse of the lake stage.

In the evening, the highlight of our trip awaits us: a visit to the Bregenz Festival with ‘La Traviata’ on the unique lake stage. Under the open sky, with Lake Constance as a backdrop, we immerse ourselves in the world of opera – a magical moment that we will not soon forget.

Day 2: Free time in Constance & return journey

After breakfast, we will drive to Constance, where we will have the day free to do as we please. Whether it's a walk through the historic old town, a leisurely stroll or a visit to a café – we can spend our time here however we wish. At around 4 p.m., we will begin our return journey together and arrive back in the Olten region at around 6 p.m. – filled with musical impressions, beautiful images and special memories.

With La traviata, Giuseppe Verdi created an opera of painful beauty – with moving arias, gripping choral scenes and an orchestral sound that makes the longing and drama of this tragic love story palpable in every note. Kirill Karabits and Pietro Rizzo, who are appearing at the Bregenz Festival for the first time, will conduct the music.

For the production, Italian director Damiano Michieletto transports the action to the glamorous world of the Roaring Twenties. Against the backdrop of dazzling jazz clubs and decadent evening parties, between a zest for life and fragility, Violetta must make a decision that irrevocably seals her fate.
