Let's dive into the most festive time of the year together! This trip takes us to the most beautiful Christmas markets in the region – from medieval magic in Ribeauvillé to the twinkling lights in Riquewihr, Colmar, and Freiburg. We'll stay in a charming wine-growing village in the Kaiserstuhl and enjoy two days full of atmosphere, indulgence, and anticipation for Christmas.

Day 1: Medieval meets fairy tale

We start with a visit to the unique medieval Christmas market in Ribeauvillé. Jugglers, musicians, and artistic stalls transport us back in time. We then continue to Riquewihr, where we stroll through the romantic alleys and marvel at Käthe Wohlfahrt's famous “Féerie de Nôel.” In the late afternoon, sparkling Colmar awaits us, a city that glows like a Christmas fairy tale in the darkness. The various markets, the Ferris wheel and the illuminated half-timbered houses create an enchanting backdrop. Before leaving Colmar, we have the opportunity to enjoy dinner in one of the romantic restaurants in the “Petit Venice” district. We continue to Vogtsburg, where we check into our comfortable rooms at the ***S Hotel Kreuz-Post.

Day 2: Christmas shopping in Freiburg

Those who wish can start the day with a dip in the hotel's indoor swimming pool. After breakfast, we take a leisurely drive to Freiburg im Breisgau. The city captivates visitors with its special flair, charming alleys, and atmospheric Christmas market around the cathedral. There is plenty of time for Christmas shopping, a coffee in one of the many cafés, or a hearty lunch in a beer bar. At 6 p.m., we will begin our journey home to Switzerland, feeling fulfilled and exhilarated.
