Itinerary
Join us on an atmospheric trip to South Tyrol in autumn – where alpine landscapes meet Mediterranean flair. We will discover historic towns, magnificent gardens and experience a traditional Törggele evening. An ideal end to the travel season – full of impressions, wonderful encounters and moments of enjoyment.
Day 1: Arrival in South Tyrol
We will start early and drive through Tyrol via Feldkirch and the Arlberg Pass. In the midst of the mountains, a beautiful place awaits us for lunch – our first opportunity to enjoy Alpine cuisine. In the afternoon, we will stop in Brixen, where Mediterranean flair and historic architecture create a special atmosphere. After a leisurely stroll, we will continue to the Hotel Tannhof in Oberplanitzing near Kaltern. After checking into our rooms, we round off the day with a delicious dinner.
Day 2: Trauttmansdorff Castle, Bolzano, and Törggele evening
After a hearty breakfast buffet, we drive to Bolzano, where a local guide shows us the most beautiful corners of the city. From Walther Square to Kornplatz and the Bolzano arcades, we experience history and the southern lifestyle. After an optional lunch, we visit the gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, a botanical paradise with plants from all over the world. In the evening, we enjoy an atmospheric Törggele evening with typical specialties, chestnuts, fruit, and musical entertainment—a genuine South Tyrolean experience.
Day 3: Varied return journey
Our journey home takes us through the Vinschgau Valley, a region full of contrasts: apple orchards, castles, and majestic peaks accompany us. At the Reschen Pass, we stop at the famous sunken church tower in Lake Reschen—a magical place steeped in history. We stop for lunch at a cozy inn before saying goodbye to Austria and welcoming Switzerland again. A successful end to the season full of wonderful memories and encounters comes to an end.

This 3-star hotel is situated in a quiet and sunny location in the woods with a magnificent view of Lake Kaltern. The comfortably furnished rooms have a shower/WC and balcony.
