End of the season on Lake Garda

Itinerary

For 2027, we’ve once again reserved rooms at the popular Hotel Centrale, a hotel that many of our guests are already very familiar with. Let’s look forward to relaxing days on Lake Garda, Italian hospitality, and a varied program to bring the travel season to a successful close. Since the number of participants is limited, we recommend registering early.

Day 1: Arrival in Riva del Garda and Old Town Tour

We’ll travel toward Italy via the Gotthard Route and get in the mood for our upcoming vacation while enjoying a traditional cappuccino in Ticino. In a small village in the Bergamo Plain, we’ll enjoy a multi-course Italian lunch and experience the authentic cuisine of northern Italy. In the afternoon, we’ll continue directly to Riva del Garda on the northern shore of Lake Garda. As a special first for our stays in Riva, we’ll enjoy a guided tour of the picturesque Old Town with its narrow streets, squares, and historic buildings. Afterward, we’ll check into our rooms at the Hotel Centrale and round off the first day of our trip with dinner together.

Day 2: Free time in Riva or an excursion to Lake Molveno

After breakfast, we have a choice: we can enjoy a relaxing day in Riva del Garda or join our optional excursion into the stunning landscape of Trentino.

Excursion: The scenic drive takes us through the Sarca Valley via Arco, Dro, Pietramurata, and Sarche to Lake Toblino and on to Lake Santa Massenza. There, we’ll visit the Casa Caveau del Vino Santo and have the opportunity to taste the region’s famous “holy wine.” Afterward, we’ll drive to the beautifully situated Lake Molveno, nestled between the lake, the mountains, and the imposing Brenta Dolomites. Following a walk along the lake, we’ll head to lunch, where we’ll enjoy a typical regional menu prepared according to traditional recipes. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Ciuiga Festival in the charming village of San Lorenzo Dorsino. The Ciuiga Festival combines regional specialties, traditional music, and the warm village community into an atmospheric fall celebration. We’ll have dinner together at the hotel.

Day 3: Franciacorta and the Return Trip

After breakfast, we say goodbye to Lake Garda and head to the famous Franciacorta wine region. At an agriturismo, a multi-course lunch awaits us in a typical Italian setting, where we can enjoy a delightful finale to our trip. Afterward, we’ll begin our leisurely return journey. We’ll travel through Ticino back into Switzerland and continue on to the Olten region. This eventful short trip comes to a close with many beautiful impressions, delightful moments, and memories of our traditional end-of-season celebration.
