Itinerary

Frankfurt combines big-city flair, festive Christmas sparkle and the charming atmosphere of its historic old town. Between the impressive skyline, festively decorated streets and beautifully adorned market stalls, we enjoy two atmospheric days during Advent. The Frankfurt Christmas Market around the Römer, St Paul’s Church and the riverbank invites visitors to stroll, indulge and shop for Christmas gifts.

Day 1: Journey to Frankfurt

We travel comfortably to Frankfurt am Main and arrive around midday. After checking in at the hotel, there is plenty of time to explore the city centre and Christmas market independently. Around the Römer, festively decorated stalls await, along with the aroma of roasted almonds, mulled wine and regional specialities. The Zeil shopping street is also within easy reach and is ideal for Christmas shopping. In the evening, we enjoy the special atmosphere of the illuminated city.

Day 2: Christmas Market and return journey

After breakfast, there is more time for a leisurely stroll through Frankfurt. Perhaps we will discover another lovely gift, enjoy a hot apple wine or walk through the historic old town with views of the skyline. The combination of Christmas market, shopping and big-city flair makes Frankfurt a particularly varied destination. In the early afternoon, we begin our return journey to Switzerland.
