Itinerary

Full steam ahead over brick viaducts, through narrow tunnels, over the dismountable Steffenbach bridge and past flower meadows.
On this Furka steam railway round trip, you will marvel at the pioneering railway achievements of our ancestors in the midst of a magnificent mountain landscape. The Furka steam railway (DFB) runs between Realp (1420 metres above sea level) in the Urseren Valley and Oberwald (1368 metres above sea level) in Obergoms. The unforgettable adventure journey takes around two hours in carefully restored nostalgic trains between snow-covered mountain peaks over the Furka (2160 metres above sea level) and past the enchanting Rhone Glacier. Board the train for a special kind of adventure journey.

Travel Itinerary

Nostalgic ride on the Furka steam railway. From Realp, the largely unspoilt and otherwise difficult to access route leads to Gletsch. Short journey to the Alpenrösli restaurant on the Grimsel Pass, where we are served a delicious lunch. Return journey via Innertkirchen - Brünig - Lucerne to the places of disembarkation.

Furka Steam Train Round Trip

• 10:20 a.m. Departure of the Furka Steam Train in Realp
• 1:05 p.m. Arrival of the Furka Steam Train in Oberwald
• Continue to the Grimsel Pass by bus
• 1:00 p.m. Lunch at the Alpenrösli Restaurant
• Return journey to the boarding points with refreshment stop en route
• Return to the Olten region at around 7:00 p.m.
