Glarner Schabziger - Klausen

Itinerary

Today we say “Welcome to the Klausen Pass.” The 50 km long pass road runs between Glarus and Uri, between Altdorf and Linthal. The Klausen Pass is considered one of the most beautiful Alpine passes (1,948 m). But before we tackle the winding mountain road, we visit the production facility of the famous Glarner Schabziger specialty. And of course, a tasting is a must! Through the Glarus region, we reach Urnerboden, the location that served as the setting for the SRF series “Wilder.” At the top of the pass, we enjoy a delicious lunch in the newly built Klausen Pass restaurant and the magnificent view of the impressive mountain world. The return journey takes us downhill to Altdorf and via the Axenstraße to Brunnen for some free time at the lake.

10:30–12:15 Tour of Glarner Schabziger, including aperitif
Continue by coach
13:30–15:30 Lunch at Hotel Klausenpass
16:30–17:30 Free time at the lake
Return to the Olten region at around 7:00 p.m.
