Gourmet weekend in Piedmont

Itinerary

Let's treat ourselves to a little escape from everyday life before the festive season begins: two days in Piedmont, full of atmospheric impressions, fine flavors, and Italian joie de vivre. Between Christmas-decorated old towns, sparkling markets, and delicious menus, we will be enchanted by the magic of the pre-Christmas season in northern Italy.

Day 1: Christmas scents in Como & evening delights in Asti

We start our journey heading south. Around midday, we reach Como, where we stop for a break. Here, there is time to stroll through the weekly and Christmas markets – a feast for the senses with sparkling lights, wonderful scents and Italian joie de vivre. In the afternoon, we continue to Asti in Piedmont, where we check into our hotel. Those who wish can use the time to take a short stroll through the charming old town. At 6:30 p.m., we will walk together to a nearby restaurant (approx. 10 minutes on foot), where a delicious tasting menu awaits us – accompanied by wine, water, and coffee. A leisurely stroll back to the hotel rounds off the day in style.

Day 2: Advent flair in Asti & gourmet delights in Casale Monferrato

After a hearty breakfast buffet, we will visit the Christmas market in Asti from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. The festively decorated streets, lovingly decorated stalls, and the smell of mulled wine and pastries will get us in the mood for Advent. We then continue to Casale Monferrato, where we are treated to another gourmet menu – including wine, water, and coffee. In the afternoon, we begin our journey back to Switzerland, filled with wonderful impressions and culinary highlights.
