Itinerary

Day 1 – Journey to the Lüneburg Heath

We travel together via Frankfurt and Hanover to Buchholz in der Nordheide, in the Lüneburg Heath. Along the way, varied landscapes pass by as we look forward to the days ahead. In the early evening, we reach our destination and check into the ****Boutique Hotel Buchholz. After settling into our rooms, we meet for dinner. Over a relaxed meal, we look forward to the exciting days ahead in northern Germany.

Day 2 – Hello Hamburg, Harbour Anniversary & Harbour Festival

Today we discover the fascinating Hanseatic city of Hamburg. During an interesting city tour, we see the best-known sights of this city on the River Elbe and learn more about its fascinating history.

Afterwards, we experience Hamburg’s world-famous harbour from a very special perspective during a one-hour harbour cruise. In the afternoon, there is plenty of time to enjoy the lively atmosphere of the harbour festival, stroll along the Landungsbrücken or admire the impressive ships.

Hamburg’s Harbour Anniversary is a spectacular maritime celebration featuring magnificent traditional sailing ships, modern cruise liners and a unique atmosphere. Lunch and dinner can be enjoyed individually in Hamburg.

Day 3 – Altes Land: A Sea of Blossoms between the Elbe and Half-Timbered Houses

Today we visit the Altes Land and experience Northern Europe’s largest continuous fruit-growing region during one of the most beautiful times of the year. More than 20 million fruit trees are in full bloom, transforming the landscape into a spectacular sea of colour.

Together with a local guide, we discover the special features of this traditional region. At a fruit farm, we gain interesting insights into fruit growing and take a ride through the extensive orchards on the Obsthof Express.

For lunch, we enjoy a typical farm speciality before continuing through charming villages with historic centres, romantic half-timbered houses and maritime character. A special highlight is our stop at the Lühe pier, where we can enjoy views across the wide Elbe landscape and soak up the atmosphere of this popular meeting place. In the evening, we return to our hotel for dinner.

Day 4 – Return Journey to Switzerland

After breakfast, we begin our journey home. Passing the Lüneburg Heath, we travel via Kassel, Mannheim and Karlsruhe towards Switzerland.

During the journey, we have time to reflect on the impressions of the past few days. The fascinating port city of Hamburg, the blossoming orchards of the Altes Land and our shared experiences make this a very special trip. With many wonderful memories, we finally arrive back at our departure points in Switzerland.
