Entertaining journey to the coffee stop. The journey continues to the island of Mainau. On a multi-faceted guided tour, you will learn lots of interesting facts about the history and botany of the island and gain an insight into the work of the Count Bernadotte family. After lunch, you will have time to discover the flower island on your own. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of plants and enjoy a walk through the diverse park and gardens. Over 20 hectares of flower island with magnificent views of Lake Constance and the Alpine panorama invite you to take a stroll and slow down. However, there are more than just flowers to admire on the island. The butterfly house, the second largest in Germany, invites visitors to take a trip to the tropics.

Mainau Island - a pure nature experience on Lake Constance
The green island in Lake Constance is probably the biggest tourist magnet in the entire region. While snow can still be seen on the distant mountains, over a million tulips, daffodils and hyacinths are already spreading their beguiling scents here on the island of Mainau. Right next to the castle and the castle church, the Palm House on Mainau is home to 20 different types of palm trees - including the 15 metre high Canary Island date palm planted in 1888 - and over 3000 orchid plants.
