Day 1 - Arrival & First Impressions
Morning departure from Basel toward Germany. After a group lunch, an exciting guided tour of the impressive Wilhelmshöhe Palace in Kassel awaits you. Afterward, continue on to Potsdam, check into your hotel near the Brandenburg Gate in Potsdam, and enjoy a group dinner.
Day 2 - Frederick the Great Up Close
Full-day guided tour with Dr. Samuel Wittwer, Director of the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg. You will discover significant sites associated with Frederick the Great: the idyllic New Garden with the Marble Palace, the elegant Glienicke Palace, the park of Babelsberg Palace, and the romantic Peacock Island. Lunch will take place at a special location. The evening is yours to spend at your leisure in Potsdam.
Day 3 – In the Footsteps of Frederick William IV
Today, you’ll focus on Frederick William IV. The itinerary includes the magnificent New Palace, Charlottenhof Palace, and a trip to Pfingstberg. Lunch and dinner are on your own.
Day 4 – Sanssouci & a festive finale
Another highlight: a tour of Sanssouci Palace, featuring the Picture Gallery, the New Chambers, and the charming Chinese House. A stroll through the park rounds out the day. A delightful dinner at Höfts in Villa Kellermann. Afterward, a musical finale awaits you at the private Palais Lichtenau.
Day 5 – A Pleasant Return Journey
After breakfast, return journey with a stop in beautiful Bamberg, including lunch. In the evening, you’ll arrive in Basel with many unforgettable memories.
