3-day time out in the Zillertal: Enjoyable journey across Lake Constance, excursion around the Kitzbühel Alps with the Krimml Waterfalls, and return journey via the spectacular Silvretta High Alpine Road.
Sometimes it doesn't take much to recharge your batteries – just a few days in the mountains, good company, and special places that fill us with wonder. Our trip to the Zillertal promises just that: nature, enjoyment, and Tyrolean hospitality. We look forward to three eventful days with beautiful views, cozy moments, and culinary highlights.
We start our journey at Lake Constance and continue towards Schwangau-Füssen. A delicious lunch with a view of the water awaits us at the idyllic Lake Hopfensee. We continue over the Fern Pass to Innsbruck, where we stroll through the historic old town – the Golden Roof shines down on us and the cozy cafés invite us to linger. In the late afternoon, we reach Zell am Ziller and check into our rooms at the ****Hotel Bräu. We end the day with a multi-course dinner – perhaps followed by a stroll through the village or a nightcap at the hotel bar.
After a hearty breakfast, we set off on a day trip around the Kitzbühel Alps. Via the Gerlos Pass, we reach the impressive Krimml Waterfalls – a natural spectacle that leaves us in awe. We continue on to Mittersill and Kitzbühel. A short stroll along the picturesque alleys, a view of the Hahnenkamm and a visit to a cozy inn are enough to feel the special flair of this place. Kitzbühel shows that even a brief moment can remain in your memory for a long time. On the way back, we stop in Rattenberg, Austria's smallest town, famous for its glass art. Here we experience glassblowing up close. In the evening, we return to the hotel and indulge in more culinary delights.
After breakfast, it's time to say goodbye – but not without one last highlight. We drive via Landeck to the Silvretta High Alpine Road, which rewards us with spectacular views of the Tyrolean mountains. At the Bielerhöhe, we have another opportunity to enjoy a typical Austrian lunch with a view of the peaks. Then we drive via Montafon, Feldkirch, and along Lake Walen back to Switzerland – filled with wonderful memories and fresh mountain air.
In the heart of Zell am Ziller, the traditional Hotel Bräu awaits us – a hotel with character, charm, and genuine Tyrolean hospitality. Especially in summer, the lovingly designed garden with its heated outdoor pool invites you to relax and enjoy yourself. Those who prefer peace and quiet will find relaxation in the hotel's own sauna or in the cozy indoor pool. The rooms are comfortable and stylishly furnished – a successful blend of alpine flair and modern comfort. We enjoy breakfast and dinner in rustic dining rooms, where wood, warmth, and coziness set the tone. The hotel bar with its relaxed atmosphere is the perfect place to linger for an aperitif or a nightcap in the evening.
