5-day gourmet trip to Veneto: Bergamo, Treviso, Prosecco hills, Padua, and South Tyrol. Culture, cuisine, and joie de vivre – no single room supplement.
Amid rolling hills, medieval towns, and culinary delights, we discover Veneto at its most beautiful. This trip combines culture, taste, and joie de vivre – and all without a single room supplement. Look forward to special encounters, surprising stories, and many enjoyable moments.
Our trip begins with a drive south. In Bergamo, a fine lunch awaits us in the historic old town – a perfect start! We will discover the winding alleys and charming squares on a walk. We continue to medieval Marostica, world-famous for its living chess game with real figures in historical costumes. After an exciting city tour, we arrive in Bassano del Grappa and check into our rooms at the stylish ****Hotel Belvedere. We enjoy dinner together in the hotel restaurant.
Today is all about the sweet life! In the morning, we prepare the original tiramisu with our chef – a delicious start to the day. Then we drive to Treviso, the charming “little Venice,” and learn the entertaining history of this popular dessert from our tour guide. On the way back, we stop in Sandrigo, where a huge ice cream factory awaits us – and an “affogato al caffè” sweetens our afternoon. Back in Bassano, we immerse ourselves in the world of grappa and taste different varieties. We end the day with a fine dinner – and our homemade tiramisu at the hotel bar.
After breakfast, we drive through the rolling hills of the Prosecco region. Along the famous Prosecco Road, we visit the magnificent Villa Sandi – including a Prosecco tasting. We enjoy a delicious lunch in a stylish restaurant before visiting the Abbey of Follina. Then we continue to Cison di Valmarino, a picturesque village at the foot of Brando Castle. In the evening, the bartender explains the history of Spritz – and of course we get to try it ourselves! Tonight we enjoy dinner at a restaurant in Bassano del Grappa.
Today we visit Padua – one of the oldest university cities in Europe. Where Galileo once taught, we stroll through winding alleys and lively squares and discover the famous Basilica of Saint Anthony. After the city tour, there is time for your own discoveries: a stroll through the old town, a visit to the museum, or an espresso in one of the charming piazzas. In the evening, we end the day with dinner together at the hotel.
Once again, we enjoy the extensive breakfast buffet. Then it's time to say: Arrivederci Italia! But before we reach Switzerland, the return journey takes us through South Tyrol – past Trento, Bolzano, and Merano. A final, enjoyable lunch awaits us in Vinschgau. With many wonderful memories in our luggage, we return to the Olten region.
The traditional ****Hotel Belvedere is located on a small hill, only about a ten-minute walk from the charming old town of Bassano del Grappa. The comfortably furnished rooms offer modern comforts with a minibar, TV, and safe – ideal for relaxing after an eventful day. In the hotel's restaurant, we enjoy a delicious 3-course meal, accompanied by a varied salad buffet. In the morning, a rich breakfast buffet awaits us, leaving nothing to be desired. And if you want to end the day in a relaxed atmosphere, the stylish hotel bar is the perfect place.
