from 30.00 CHFEspecially in today's world, where more people are traveling but also becoming more conscious of the environmental impact of their travel habits, we feel it's important to highlight the benefits of coach travel. We don't want to persuade you to take a bus trip with us, but rather to encourage some reflection. And leave the decision to you: Would I like to take my next trip by bus? If yes, then with Born Reisen 😉
Bus tour operators offer an increasing variety of travel options, so there's something suitable for everyone. You can use bus trips for city tours, concert trips, Christmas market visits, beach vacations, hiking holidays, ski trips, and more. It's often possible to book a package deal, so you have the hotel, excursions, and transfers all planned and handled by one provider. The programs are attractively designed with the highlights of each destination. Since the bus is always with you, excursions to the surrounding areas or neighboring cities can be planned as well. This allows you to see and discover more of the destination without worrying about the journey. Additionally, items you don't need all the time can be left on the bus, so you don't have to carry everything with you. For those who prefer to stay flexible and independent, there are also trips that only include the bus ride or have days that you can plan yourself. As you can see, there are many possibilities for a bus trip.
As already mentioned, climate change and the environment play an increasingly important role in tourism. A significant factor in favor of bus travel is the high CO2 emissions from cars and airplanes, which increasingly burden the environment. It's also worth noting that the increasingly popular cruise ships cause significant environmental pollution. Group travel by bus conserves resources and protects nature and the climate. A bus tourist produces significantly fewer air pollutants, including fine particles, and travels in an especially climate-friendly manner. Per person, a bus trip uses very little energy—even compared to trains—and this results in a minimal release of carbon dioxide, the number one climate killer. An airplane requires about 9 times, a car about 6 times, and a train about 2 times the energy of a travel coach. Additionally, travel coaches help reduce traffic congestion, alleviate parking shortages in cities, and decrease traffic jams, as one coach replaces about 20 cars. Given the current gasoline and diesel costs, coach travel offers a good and fair price-performance ratio.
Another major advantage is the short journey to the departure point. For example, while you need to travel to the airport and arrive two hours before the flight, with bus travel, you just board and your vacation begins. Often, the nearest boarding point is in the neighborhood. We also offer free parking in our coach hall for the duration of your trip. Moreover, on a bus journey, you can distinctly feel yourself getting closer to the destination as the landscape and vegetation change, providing plenty to observe and admire. Additionally, unlike air travel, where there’s always the worry of lost luggage and the wait at the baggage claim, this doesn't happen with bus travel. You hand your luggage to the driver, and it's with you throughout the journey. Plus, you can bring as much luggage as you like without worrying about exceeding limits or paying extra fees for overweight baggage—just bring everything you need without a care!
Another worry you can put aside is the need to book flights or trains months in advance to get a good price, which requires early planning. Bus travel prices are generally stable, meaning even last-minute travelers are welcome.
"But the journey takes longer," that's true and we don't want to deny it. However, it's worth noting that train travel often involves time-consuming transfers and long waiting periods. If a connection fails or you miss a connecting train, it can quickly put a damper on your vacation. With a bus journey, there are no transfers; you can board and relax until you reach your destination. Of course, there are stops at rest areas or restaurants to refresh, get some air, or stretch your legs.
Additionally, many people forget that bus comfort has also improved significantly in recent years. More legroom, air conditioning, or more comfortable seats that can be adjusted offer increased comfort on long journeys. Some buses even have tables for a cozy group of four. This brings us to the next point: the sociability of bus travel. A group dynamic often develops that would be unthinkable with car or air travel, making bus travel a communal travel experience. For example, we have groups who have bonded and now book a bus trip together every year. This is especially nice for single travelers as it provides a way to make new acquaintances and quickly feel less alone. However, it's entirely up to each individual; if someone prefers solitude, they can enjoy a trip alone or with just their travel companion.
Because that's what it's all about, enjoying the journey and the moments and creating unique memories. We hope we could still give you a taste for bus trips or at least arouse your interest in trying out a bus trip. We and the environment would certainly be happy!
